1961 Fender Deluxe 6G3 Brown 20-Watt 1x12 Combo Amplifier
Description
The 1961 Fender Deluxe 6G3 is a 20-watt brownface combo with a pair of 6V6 power tubes and a single 12" speaker, known for its warm cleans and rich, harmonically complex overdrive.
Bench tested and serviced with routine eyelet board work, cleaning, and a repaired preamp socket connection. New production tubes were swapped for various vintage examples and the amp is operating strong and ready to go.
Currently fitted with a vintage Jensen C12Q ceramic speaker with blue “Concert Series” label, dated 220936 (1959). Likely a period replacement, but an excellent sounding and very appropriate match for the amp.
