The Tao T-Bucket has always occupied its own space in the boutique guitar world. There’s something unmistakably artistic about the way John Joveniaux and Serge Michiels approach instrument building, but beneath the visual identity is a genuinely inspiring player’s guitar. Every curve, contour, and hardware choice feels intentional, balancing modern craftsmanship with the soul and unpredictability of a truly handmade instrument.

This particular T-Bucket “Josef” (Serial #87), built in April 2026 at the Tao workshop in Brussels, Belgium, carries a striking Dark Blue / Natural finish combination over a two-piece swamp ash body. The contrast between the deep translucent blue and exposed natural wood gives the guitar a refined but organic feel that perfectly suits Tao’s aesthetic language.

Tonally, this build leans articulate, resonant, and incredibly dynamic. The custom Tao “Double D” pickups offer impressive range, capable of moving from open, detailed clean tones into thick, harmonically rich overdrive without losing clarity. Combined with the lightweight swamp ash body and quartersawn maple neck, the guitar feels lively and immediate in the hands with exceptional note separation and sustain.

Like many Tao instruments, this T-Bucket feels less like a production guitar and more like a one-off handcrafted piece of functional art. Distinctive, deeply musical, and built with an obsessive level of attention to detail.

We offer free shipping on selected products within the continental U.S. Please contact us before purchasing if you have any questions. Our primary shipping vendor is Fedex ground with insurance. For small accessories, P.O. boxes, or non-continental US customers, we may use the United States Postal Service. Expedited Orders We will upgrade the shipping delivery method to 2-day, or overnight (if applicable) upon request (charges will apply). Consignment Items Consignment Items do not qualify for free shipping, Shipping will be calculated at checkout. Sales Tax 8.625% sales tax will be added to all orders within New York State.

Returns

Returns on New items are accepted (unless noted in the description), and must occur within 4 days from when you receive the item. (buyer must notify us that they will be returning the item within 4 days of receiving the item, or return will be void) Buyer pays for shipping cost , Buyer is responsible for returning the item undamaged, we can provide return label which cost will be deducted from the refund owned to the buyer. A 10% restocking fee will also be assessed upon return of the item. We reserve the right to refuse refund if item is not returned in the same condition it was originally shipped to the buyer.
