1968 Gibson B-25N
Description
This 1968 Gibson B-25N is in very good vintage condition. This guitar shows signs of play wear and age throughout including some extensive lacquer checking, some small dings and scratches throughout the body and some scratches on the back of the neck. There is a very fine crack in the bridge on the treble side which has been repaired and is very stable. A strap button has been added to the heel of the neck. Otherwise, this little guitar is super vibrant, crack free and very vibey! This instrument is stamped with a “2” on the back of the peghead indicating that it was a factory second, but there are no obvious or visible flaws that we can find. This B-25N has a fantastic and very comfortable feeling slim rounded neck profile that tapers larger toward the 12th fret and has a 1 9/16” nut width. The original fret wire on this instrument shows some wear, but has plenty of life left and is overall in good shape. The top of the guitar is pretty flat, the bridge is flush with the body and the truss rod is fully operational. This guitar has just been set up here in our shop and it plays great up and down the rosewood fingerboard with low comfortable action - it is very easy and very fun to play! This 58 year old X braced Gibson flat-top sounds wonderful and has a very dry punchy round tone with crisp top end and plenty of volume. A truly great songwriting and studio companion! This guitar is housed in an older hardshell case with yellow plush interior and will ship out promptly and securely from our little shop here in Tennessee to your front door!
