Description

Now available on consignment, a 1970 Gibson Les Paul Custom in its original black finish.

This is a well played example of an early 70s Les Paul Custom, with a comfortable neck, and an average weight of 4.6kgs. The guitar remains in mostly original condition including both patent # decal pickups (cover has been off the bridge pickup), and the wiring harness with the visible pot dates in 1970. There are a few modifications including:

A medium jumbo re-fret and a new nut
Replacement bridge and tailpiece, and studs
Replaced jack-plate
Grover tuners installed at one point, period Kluson Waffleback tuners are back on.
Cosmetically this guitar is in a pretty good condition, it has a decent amount of play wear, with a few dings and dents, and one touchup on the top, and on the back there is mild buckle rash present. The neck is solid and straight, and plays cleanly with a low action.

Overall this is a well used example of an early 70’s Custom, with plenty of life and playability for years to come.

Includes a later Gibson chainsaw case.
