1998 Danelectro DC-2 Red
Description
Very good condition featuring double cutaway DC-2 body shape with red finish and white edges, two lipstick tube pickups, three way pickup selector switch, one volume control and one tone control with concentric brown and cream knobs, white pickguard, Danelectro bridge with wooden saddle, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays starting at the third fret, "coke bottle" peghead with Danelectro logo, Danelectro D logo tuning machines, bolt on neck construction, metal electronics cavity control plate cover, and chrome plated metal hardware.
This Danelectro DC-2 is in very good cosmetic condition and is set up in great playing order. The white Tolex style binding on the body edges is separating in the cutaways (see photos), but otherwise this guitar is very clean and tidy. The frets are in great condition and have a lifetime of use left in them. The neck profile is the typical Danelectro C profile which is very comfortable in hand. The single coil lipstick tube pickups sound great and produce classic Danelectro tones. The pots date to 1998. This is a very well-made professional grade guitar that's perfectly suitable for live events and for home or studio use.
