It moves easily from sparkly, dimensional cleans to thick, woody tweed textures, then into driven British-style crunch and growl. The feel is immediate and expressive, with a fullness that stays intact whether you are playing at home or onstage.

A big part of what makes this amp special is Bartel’s solid wood cabinet design with unified baffle and body construction, which gives the amp a lively, deeply resonant acoustic character. It projects beautifully, cuts through a mix with ease, and stays full and musical without ever becoming harsh or piercing.

This special build also features Bartel’s remarkably transparent master volume circuit, which preserves harmonic balance, feel, and presence far better than a typical master volume design. That makes this amp equally rewarding at low volume, where it still sounds vivid and full, and at stage volume, where it opens up with authority.

Visually, this anniversary Starwood is every bit as striking as it sounds. The custom blue tolex, complementary piping, modified trim, and custom faceplate artwork give it a one-of-a-kind look. It is also fitted with EC Collins True “Bluesbreaker-Pinstripe” handmade grill cloth, an exacting reproduction of the material used on early Marshall amps from 1965 to 1968. Beyond the look, that cloth contributes its own character to the amp’s voice, adding a touch of that aggressive, vintage-inspired texture even at lower volumes.
