1963 GIBSON FIREBIRD V SUNBURST #142794
Description
The real deal--the first year and the V which has the better Trem. Has lots of playing wear on the fret board and elsewhere and metal tarnish, etc., but looks and sounds killer--Murphy's relics don't look this good. Not sure about the pots, they look awfully shiny, but no matter, they sound killer. Has the original Hard case that is fine except for the pick pocket side is detached, but still there and easily fixed. Our tags originally said 1954, but research shows it's a 1963.
Has the Banjo style tuners and even though the pick guard is cracked, there's a Genuine Gibson New Old Stock original pick guard we had in our parts stash included. Note: when Gibson Moved the Factory from Kalamazoo to Nashville, we bought a ton (actually over 2000lbs) of parts that Gibson had on pallets and did not think they would need and did not want to Inventory, so We got them and there's all kinds of New Genuine parts from the 60's through the 90's, including the new Firebird pick guard included with this guitar. The re-issues are cool, but not like the real deal! A great piece of Rock and Roll History!
