2007 Catalfamo F-4 Style tobacco

Description

Carlo Catalfamo built mandolins in Albuquerque New Mexico for about a decade until his retirement several years ago. His instruments feature top quality tone woods and unique design options. This unique mandolin combines the body style of a Gibson F-4, with an Embergher style headstock. The 5-piece neck has been crafted in the Italian style with a slotted peghead, reinforced with a carbon fiber rod. The top is hand-carved tight-grained spruce, and the back and sides are nicely figured maple. The entire body is triple bound. The instrument is in excellent playing condition with a straight neck, minimal fret wear and a robust sound. This instrument is part of my personal collection. Comes with certificate of provenance and hard case.
