Description

A museum-level piece of Dire Straits history.

This Burns Baldwin 12-string was played on stage by Mark Knopfler between 1977 and 1986, during the formative and explosive years of Dire Straits. After its time on the road, the guitar remained in Knopfler’s personal collection until 2025, making it one of the very few long-term owned and stage-used instruments from this era to ever surface on the market.

Exceptionally well preserved for an instrument with such a pedigree, it carries the unmistakable vibe of Knopfler’s early touring years — a sonic and historical treasure for collectors and fans of the band.

A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to acquire a true piece of rock history.
