1952 CF Martin 0-15 Mahogany
Description
C.F. Martin 0-15 1952 | $3975 | (v2540) The Martin 0-15 was the budget model amongst Martins budget models! But, built to the same high Martin standards as the higher grade instruments with the same quality materials.
The body is made from a nice grade of mahogany and features w/b/w sound hole rings, a tortoise celluloid pick guard and the gold foil C.F. Martin decal on the head stock. The top features the usual Martin-style X-bracing and a Brazilian rosewood bridge. The neck is mahogany, carved in the typical Martin 'C'-shape, and features a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with four pearl position dots and side position markers. The tuners are individual open-back Klusons with white plastic buttons.
The body measures 13 1/2" across at the lower bout. Scale length is 25". The neck measures 1 5/8" at the nut, with string spacing 2 3/16" at the saddle. Action is set at a very comfortable 4 & 5/64" when measured at the 12th fret.
The guitar is in overall excellent and original condition. Prior repairs conducted at Martin experts Brothers Music in Wind Gap, PA include: neck reset; set up; top crack glue.
The guitar plays like butter and produces a rich and full sound; perfect for fingerpicking old-time or country blues music! Great guitar, great value!
