1974 Fender Precision Bass Sunburst
Description
Should be 1974 according to pots and ID number. Could not verify year from neck as the number rubbed off. This bass was owned by a working musician years ago so lots of play and a really nice vintage vibe. I love the A neck profile on a P bass for playability and speed, and prefer the maple neck for punch. So what's changed? Pickup is a Duncan, or Lindy Fralin vintage re-issue. I pulled an active pickup out of it years ago and don't recall what I put in it. I could not find a 70's pickup to replace the one probably thrown away. Pickguard is a re-issue. Pots coded 1377440 so probably original. Tuners, bridge, body, neck, knobs, id plate, case all are probably original. Maybe a more experienced eye can document the year from the neck stamp. Weight is a very light 8.25 pounds. I charge only exact shipping and return any overpayment. The A neck has obviously been refretted with jumbos. This is a 52 year old instrument that has been played in its lifetime. It is not a closet queen. It is being sold at a good price. I welcome legitimate questions but no nit pickers please.
