Gibson Les Paul Standard Plus Double Cutaway Gold Hardware 2001 - Desert Burst
Description
Here we have a beautiful Les Paul Standard Double Cut from 2001! This gold hardware variant features a mega flame top and has a Desert Burst finish!
Other specs include a mahogany body, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, trapezoid inlays, 24 frets and locking Grover tuners. It has a stop tailpiece with an ABR-1 bridge and dual humbuckers. It has a single volume/tone layout, as well as tummy bevel on the back of the body.
The guitar originally had Grover tuners, but now sports a set of locking replacements. The bridge was also updated to an FU-Tone ABR-1 from the original Tune-o-matic and the body grommets were also changed. The finish has light topical scratches and a handful of small faint dings across the body, but mostly on the back. The gold hardware shows some light wear and patina. The volume knob has an internal crack.
The guitar weighs in right at 7lbs. The neck measures .780 to .900 at the 1st and 12th frets. It has a classic slim taper 60s neck carve. We love this model, it was such a cool addition to the line. It’s a very nice playing instrument with good resonance and a woody tone off of the body. Plus, the top is great.
Ships in the original hardshell case and includes the original paperwork.
