Origin Effects Origin Effects DELUXE61 Amp Tremolo & Drive

Description

Presenting the all new Origin Effects DELUXE61 Amp Tremolo & Drive, True power tube bias tremolo, in a pedal. The DELUXE61 is the first ever pedal to faithfully recreate power tube bias tremolo, the sought-after effect found in a handful of classic amps from the late ‘50s and early ‘60s. More than just a tremolo pedal, the DELUXE61 Amp Tremolo & Drive also delivers a deliciously chewy and rich Brown Fender-style overdrive tone that interact with the bias tremolo effect just like the real thing in a classic amp. Based on Origin's very popular RevivalDRIVE platform, the DELUXE61 houses a complete valve amp-style signal path recreated in all-analogue electronics. The circuit allows it to recreate the uniquely musical and dynamically responsive bias tremolo effect at circuit level, while also offering a broad palette of stunning clean and overdriven amp tones voiced after the Brown Fender Deluxe. A range of modern features, including switchable wave shapes, tap tempo, rhythmic subdivisions and effects switcher integration, bring modern convenience to the DELUXE61’s authentic vintage tones. Smooth, deep and rich, bias tremolo is considered by many to be the pinnacle of built-in amp trem. In contrast to optical and VCA-based tremolo designs, which attenuate the signal itself, bias tremolo works by varying the bias voltage fed to the amp’s power tubes, giving the effect its unique character and almost magical dynamic qualities. While other tremolos impose themselves on top of your playing, bias tremolo has the capacity to respond to it. As power amp gain increases, loud notes and chords are able to rise above the effects of bias modulation. Digging in harder allows you to “play over” the tremolo effect, before letting it fade back in as the note dies away or you soften your pick attack. The DELUXE61’s amp-like circuitry reproduces this effect exactly, right down to the complex interaction between gain, bias voltage, playing dynamics and harmonic content. Voiced after Origin's treasured 1962 Brown Deluxe, the DELUXE61 serves up a range of rich and complex valve amp tones with stunning authenticity. From gritty cleans through throaty and articulate break-up to growling Tweed-style distortion, the DELUXE61’s repertoire of elusive Brown Fender tones is at your disposal, with or without the independently switchable bias tremolo effect. Meanwhile, the powerful Post-Drive EQ section, as seen on the RevivalDRIVE Compact, tailors the output of the pedal to suit the voicing of the amp you’re plugging into, as well as flat-response power amps, mixers and recording interfaces. As well as a wider range of Speed and Intensity settings, we’ve provided two different LFO wave shapes – a smooth, Deluxe-style sine wave and a less symmetrical, Magnatone-style rectified sine wave. Attaching an external footswitch enables tap tempo and remote tremolo on/off switching, while the same footswitch input allows direct integration with effects switching systems like the Boss ES series, MusicomLAB, RJM Music, or TheGigRig G2. The DELUXE61’s speed multiplier switch offers quarter-note, eighth-note and triplet tempo subdivisions while also shifting the range of the pedal’s Speed knob. With high-quality components throughout, the DELUXE61 Amp Tremolo & Drive. is designed and built for professional performance and rock-solid reliability.
