1953 Gibson Century 10 – Black
Description
For all you steel players, check out this incredible 1953 Gibson Century 10 in its original Black finish! The Century 10 model was offered first in 1948 and discontinued in 1956, with Gibson’s shipping records indicating no more than 90 were made. Finding the exact year of these examples can be tricky, as they were not stamped with serial numbers until mid-1953. We can determine this instrument was completed in early 1953 based on the potentiometer codes of this example. This particular instrument is in great condition, with some light wear and checking throughout. With the exception of the tuner buttons, it is completely original. There is one small pickguard crack at the screw under the bridge cover.
Overall Condition: 8, checking and playwear throughout
