1934 Martin 0-17 Natural Mahogany
Description
Natural, solid mahogany top, back and sides, with neck reset and refret. Pre 1938 Martins are in high demand. The Martin factory made their best guitars during the great depression. This has forward shifted, scalloped top bracing, Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard and bridge. The nut is 1 3/4” and the neck has a V neck profile. There is a lot of wear on this one. It’s been played and sounds amazing. The repairs include a neck reset, repaired original bridge plate, refret with modern (non bar) frets. Also a big repaired top crack on the bass side of the top. Came from the famous Bellson Music Company in St. Paul Minnesota. Has their sticker on the back of the headstock. Bellson’s brother Julius was Gibsons Historian and wrote a must have book. This guitar is beat but sweet and it seems all 30’s Martins are rising in value. Comes with a newer Martin hard shell case.
