1941 Epiphone Spartan Tenor Guitar sunburst

The Spartan model archtop guitar was introduced in 1934. This 4-string tenor version, made in 1941, features walnut back and sides with a sunburst finish on top. The body measures 16 3/8” and a 23” scale length. This instrument is in excellent original condition with a straight neck, moderate fret wear and warm tones. I’ve never seen or heard of another. I played this on the Tenor Madness project with Tyler Jackson on the tune, “Blue Dawg” (check sound sample). Comes with certificate of provenance signed by me.
