1959 Danelectro Doubleneck – White Sunburst
Description
Here’s a super cool 1959 Danelectro Doubleneck in its original White Sunburst finish, nicknamed “Copperburst”! If you’re a fan of Danelectros, you may know that this model (3923) was usually made with one six-string guitar neck and one four-string bass neck. Additionally, most of these double necks only received one pickup per neck, but this one has a set of two for each neck. The lipstick pickups certainly give you that legendary ’60s sound, and the overall playability on both necks is excellent. Internally, the wiring appears undisturbed and original. Two extra grooves are cut into the Baritone bridge, but this has no impact on functionality. The baritone neck is a fun option, and both necks are very comfortably played in. Suspecting a conversion, we can see that the middle two tuner holes on the Baritone neck have original paint present in them, so we can confirm that this neck is not a modified bass neck. The Baritone neck may have been put on the guitar instead, or this might’ve just been a full-on custom order; we’ve certainly seen crazier things!
Overall Condition: 6.5, wear to both necks, general playwear
