1958 Fender Tremolux Tweed
Description
Super clean midyear 1958 5E9A Fender Tremolux. These are sleepers in the tweed lineup for sure. The Bassmans and the Deluxes get the glory whereas the Tremolux often gets a yawn. Think of it as a Deluxe with a lot more bottom and a bit more headroom (which is just what a Deluxe lacks). This is largely due to the larger cabinet on later Tremoluxes. The circuit is nearly identical to a Deluxe (with tremolo, of course). Clean Deluxes have bumped up big time in value lately and the Tremolux isn't far behind. This amp is largely original-a few caps and resistors have been changed and the Jensen P12Q was replaced with the more robust P12N (from 59). The output transformer is from a 62 (brown) Vibrolux. Tweed and grill cloth are original and in stunningly clean condition. Sounds awesome (it's been my personal player for a while).
