Electronics: The guitar is fitted with an internal microphone as well as a K&K bridge plate transducer, both of which feed to an endpin 1/8" jack.

Hardware: The bridge, saddle, nut, and endpin have all been replaced. The original bridge is included in the case.

Cosmetic Condition: This vintage Martin D-28 shows heavy aging and cosmetic wear, with extensive play wear under the glossy overspray. There is a repaired top crack near the center seam, from the bridge to the end of the body, as well as multiple repaired cracks on the back of the body. The back of the neck is glossy and smooth, and the fingerboard has some chips in it from a prior refret.

Modifications/Repairs: The guitar has been fully oversprayed, and there are repaired cracks in the top and back of the body. Some of the back cracks have been reinforced with internal cleats. The bridge, saddle, and nut have all been replaced, and the bridge plate has been doweled and re-drilled for the new bridge. The neck has been reset and refretted, with a small shim under the tongue. There is also a hole drilled in the side of the heel for a strap button. An internal microphone and K&K pickup are installed, going to an endpin jack.

Tech Notes: The guitar plays well with low action, and the frets are tall with mild play wear. The serial number dates to 1942.
