2019 SUNDRAGON Limited Edition Combo Black
Description
Super Rare ! SUNDRAGON LIMITED EDITION COMBO AMP
Only 1 of 50 made #6
50 years ago, Jimmy Page used a 1959 Telecaster and
Supro Coronado amplifier to record the groundbreaking
sounds on Led Zeppelin I. Details of the guitar have been
known since the Yardbirds, as the guitar was used for live
dates and was photographed many times. However, the
amplifier remained shrouded in mystery until now…
In 2017, Jimmy decided that it was time to share his secret
so that others could enjoy the unique amplifier that he used
to shape the future of Rock and Roll.
Jimmy Page, Perry Margouleff, and Mitch Colby spent two
years working to create a modern version of this very
special amplifier. Painstaking care was taken to recreate the
sound and feel, while the cosmetics were updated to add
our own personal touch.
Only 50 Sundragon Limited Edition amplifiers will be built
in New York by Mitch Colby, with carefully selected
components to ensure that we recreate the distinctive tone
and feel of Jimmy’s original amplifier. Many new old stock
parts were sourced for the project and transformers were
handmade by the original manufacturer. We have also used
new old stock, vintage tubes that match the ones in Jimmy’s
amplifier.
