1959 Gibson Melody Maker Sunburst

This Gibson Melody Maker was made in the USA in 1959. It shows light play wear, but overall this one is in very nice shape with no structural damage. 1959 was the first year for the melody maker and the examples made that year, right along side sunburst les pauls, are the finist example of the model as they have fatter necks and a larger pickup that sounds better than the units that became standard the following year. This guitar has the original finish and mostly original parts but one pot is changed, and the tuners are later 60's kluson units but there are no extra holes. The guitar weighs 5 pounds 14 ounces. It has been pro setup in our store and comes with the original soft case in the pictures.
