Classical Style Neck on Steel-String Body
Lighter Construction = More Tone
X-Braced Classical Size Body
Typical of '60s Gibson, this guitar was intended to fit into the folk music boom happening at the time with a classial neck and steel-string body that is taken from their LG series. This guitar can work perfectly for a steel-string player with classical training. They will feel right at home on this 2 inch wide neck with a flat fingerboard, and the classical sized box with lighter construction will offer a particularly rich and easy tone, especially for the fingerstyle player. It has an X-braced spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and two original white pickguards, which, I suppose, are supposed to refer to flamenco stylings.
