This 1996 Gibson Vintage AJ Advanced Jumbo was formerly owned by Steve Earle and was his main guitar for solo appearances from early 1997 through 2006. This Gibson is all original aside from having replaced Grover tuners and having had a custom internal microphone and Fishman active undersaddle pickup installed. This Advanced Jumbo was constructed with a spruce top, Indian rosewood back and sides, a mahogany neck with an Indian rosewood fingerboard, and an Indian rosewood bridge. The neck measures 1 11/16" wide at the nut, has a depth of 0.91" at the first fret, and a depth of 0.94" at the tenth fret. The guitar has a 25.5" scale and weighs 5.07 lbs. This guitar was used for tracks on Steve Earle's El Corazon, The Mountain, Transcendental Blues, Jerusalem, and The Revolution Starts...Now albums. Comes with a red Calton flight case.
