1970 Dan Armstrong Sliding Pickup Bass Cherry

Description

Now available on consignment, an early 70s Dan Armstrong London Bass with the sliding pickup.

This is a fairly rare example of an early Dan Armstrong sliding pickup bass, featuring a solid mahogany body and neck, a rosewood fingerboard, and a 25.5" scale length.

At the heart of the design is its signature low impedance sliding humbucker pickup, which can be repositioned anywhere between the neck and bridge. This system allows you to gain a wide spectrum of tones.

Other than a few dings and scratches, the bass presents in great condition having no breaks or cracks to note. It appears at some stage a neck set was performed in the past looking at the finish around the heel, its solid and the bass plays great with a low to medium action.

This particular bass comes from the collection of Bob Daisley, a letter and modern hardcase are included.
