1921 Martin Style A-K Koa

Description

Here's a 1921 Martin A-K style mandolin. 100% original example and a rare one at that!! Serial #9548, made in Nazareth, PA. Flat back, bent top, natural varnish finish, koa back and sides, mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard. Our luthier repaired a few cracks on the top and back, which are now completely stable and good to go. 1921 was when the model was introduced, with just under 1300 made over the entire production run. The mandolin plays exceptionally well, with easy playing low action. Every note rings and sings! Scale length is 13 in. (330 mm.), and the nut width is 1 3/16 in. (30 mm.).
Tonally it's a lot brighter than a Gibson (for example). It's got some serious volume, with crystal clear clarity. Sounds amazing! This beauty is ready to go! GB included...

Nut Width- 1 3/16"
