This beautiful blonde Sweet 16 was expertly crafted in the historic Parsons Street shop in old Kalamazoo by the original Heritage guys......the world's most experienced carvers of fine archtop instruments.....during their finest era. It's now 25 years old. This popular model is no longer being made and excellent examples such as this are appreciating in value rapidly. Sweet 16 was initiated originally by a long time loyal Gib./Heritage customer wanting a "16 inch Super 400."

The very generous (Super 400 like) specs include:   * 25 1/2 inch scale length, 1 11/16th" nut width, 20 medium jumbo frets. Nearly no fret wear. * 2 3/4" rim depth, 16 inch lower bout width * Solid Carved Sitka Spruce top, Solid Carved premium flamed maple back. Solid bent rims. * Deluxe binding & inlays * Fitted to the top- full contact African Ebony floating bridge- inlaid with "16's" * Gold plated hardware, Grover Rotomatic tuning keys * Single floating Heritage humbucker with Pickguard mounted Volume control. End pin input jack. * Well flamed Maple hand bound & lacquered (wood) pickguard. * Bound f holes/peghead * Fancy 5 piece curly Maple neck- Medium C. African Ebony fingerboard w/ traditional Kalamazoo split block inlays. * Florentine cutaway * Strap button into the neck heel.
