Gretsch 2017 G6136T-BLK Black Falcon
The “G6136T-BLK Black Falcon” model is the black version of the White Falcon, the flagship model of Gretsch guitars.
Its beautifully shaped body, black finish, gold sparkle binding and vertical logo give this top-of-the-range model a luxurious look.
The Player's Edition features a 2-1/4" thinner body, ML bracing that evolved from the trestle bracing of 1959, Grover Imperial locking tuners, locking strap pins, a string-through Bigsby, a TUSQ XL nut, a locking bar bridge and a pinned ebony base with octave adjustment to reduce bridge movement. These features ensure superior playability.
The pickups include a high-sensitive Filter'Tron, a “Squeezebox” paper-in capacitor and a treble bleed circuit that does not alter the sound when the volume is changed. There is also a no-load tone circuit that is completely bypassed when the tone is full.
The metal parts are tarnished and gilded. There is slight scuffing on the body top, buckle marks and some scratches on the body back, and a few scuffs on the body sides.
The frets have been rubbed together, with about 80% remaining overall. The neck and truss rod are both in good condition.
