Beautiful 1966 Gibson SJ (Southern Jumbo)
Did you ever want to fill the room with top to bottom sound? Then you have coveted a 60’s era Gibson SJ. This is the Flat Top of Flat Tops. And this gal is in incredible condition. She comes in the highly desirable Cherry Sunburst finish. The finish is near flawless with very minor wear-no major scratches or scrapes. There’s a very small surface crack on upper treble-non structural in any way. There is an amazing crazing that is throughout the finish that you can see in the photos-absolutely beautiful! The soundboard is sitka spruce, the back and sides are mahogany with that beautiful Gibson aged red tint. The neck is also mahogany with a rosewood fretboard set off with the unique Gibson pearl inlay parallelogram pattern. Outside of a refret to ensure years of comfortable playing, this guitar is all original. The action is set low and smooth and as mentioned, the full spectrum sound of a well maintained, aged-wood SJ is unmatched. Comes with newer fitted hardshell case.
