1963 Gibson Les Paul / SG Standard "Ebony Block"

This is an SG Standard featuring a rare ebony block tailpiece.
This is a rare Les Paul/SG Standard featuring a rosewood plate adorned with Art Deco-style pearl inlays, mounted on a short Vibrola unit known as the “Ebony Block,” which was produced in limited quantities during the model's early era.
Although there are a few minor signs of age and weathering, the item is in excellent plus condition overall, having been kept in very good shape.
The fading of the fabric dye caused by the aniline dye on the back of the neck is also a characteristic feature from the 1950s Burst models through to this period.
Frets and nut are replaced.
