This is the Small Guard SG Standard from the final era of the Pull Sideway Vibrola.
Overall, it is in mint condition, maintaining a very clean state.
The cherry red finish, the same color with the back of the Les Paul Sunburst—a hallmark of early models—shows almost no fading and remains in pristine condition, while the tarnish on the nickel-plated hardware is minimal.
There are no changes.
This model features the thickest grip among all SG models, characteristic of around 1963, producing a fat tone.
It boasts a solid body with a mellow yet gutsy rock feel, delivering a good tone characteristic of the early square-window numbered PAF pickups, sharing the same sound characteristics as the 60's “P.A.F.”
