1967 Gibson SG Junior Polaris White

Description

So many cool things about this SG Junior, number one being it's a Junior, of which I have been a fan since 1977. Another is the factory Polaris White finish- I have not seen a factory white one in person, just one popping up on line every now and them. Another is the serial number- 000004. 1967 was the year they started using 0 as the first digit, so conceivably could have been the 4th guitar made that year. The pots date later 1966. Not really much to point at and explain away- it's far from mint, and the original soft case was long gone, so we parked it in a new Gibson SG hard case, brown with pink lining. The neck is good, truss rod works, 1.59 nut width, and very little fret wear. When we got this instrument it had a Fralin hum canceling P-90 in it, and the original P-90 was included. The P-90 was unsoldered at the pickup, so the solder joints on the pots look good. We reinstalled the original pickup, so if you look carefully at the bottom of the P-90 you will see 2 small non original solder joints, but they look good. I won't swear the trem arm is original, but was told it was. A truly wonderful guitar with tons of mojo, and way up on the cool scale. Newer hard case. Thanks for looking!
