1969 Gibson SG Custom "Factory Original BIgsby B5 Model"
Description
This is a very rare SG Custom with one piece Mahogany neck featuring wide pickguard and Bigsby equipped .
The white finished wide guard Custom—known for having been used by Jimi Hendrix during his Gypsies era—was produced for only a brief period from late 1966 through 1969,
and the one-piece neck models made up to 1969 are particularly rare, even on the vintage market.
It’s possible that the entire back of the neck has been refinished, but I can’t say for sure based on the color and the quality of the finish.
Frets and nuts are replaced.
