1998 Gibson R8 Historic Re-issue Lefty Left Handed (1998 reissue) Sunburst
Description
Selling a Lefty Gibson Custom Shop Historic R8 Les Paul, Left Handed or Lefty with a great Flame Top. It is being said that the late 90's re-issues are the "Good Wood" era Custom Shop Historics.
This one looks, feels, and sounds amazing. There are only a handful 58 RI with a top like this one. Most 58 RI are plain tops.
The neck is like a 59 RI, and is not the thick Baseball bat type you'd expect form a 58.
Weight is 8.3lbs.
The only non original parts are the Tail Studs and thumb wheels. They have been replaced with Faber parts. The Bumble Bee Caps are original 50's Caps.
There are 2 small indentations on the back of the Body. Other then that, the Guitar is a 9.8 out of 10. Right now, the Guitar is equipped with an aftermarket Pick-Guard, Poker Chip Selecetor Ring and Input Jack Plate. The original parts are included as well as the original Historic Case. No COA, since there were none issued in 1998.
Set up with D'Addario 10-46.
