2008 Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul LPR-9 (’59 R9) – Madagascar Rosewood, Historic Reissue, MINT
Description
No sales tax for customers outside California.
This 2008 Gibson Les Paul Standard 1959 Reissue is a special one!
This guitar was stashed by the original owner. He was a purveyor of luthier-grade woods. He actually sold the wood this guitar was made of to Gibson, then ended up with the guitar. He never played it. All the paperwork and goodies are included.
We have two others from this stash - watch for them too.
In this era, Gibson ran off a handful of guitars with Madagascar Rosewood fretboards, a wood that very much resembles Brazilian rosewood. These guitars are highly sought after.
Own the holy-grail burst without the vintage price tag: this 2008 Gibson Custom Shop LPR-9 ’59 Les Paul Standard Reissue is a Historic Collection masterpiece, featuring a highly-figured flame maple top and a rare, dark Madagascar rosewood fretboard. Hand-built with hide-glue construction, long-tenon neck joint, and “bumblebee” caps, it delivers the warm, singing sustain and woody mid-range that made the original 1959 Les Paul legendary.
