1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard "The Burst"
Description
This is a 1959 Les Paul Standard with a Tea Burst Color Top.
While showing evidence of over 60 years of use, the instrument remains in excellent overall condition.
This well-worn finish bears witness to its superb “Burst” tone, with tiger-eye figure throughout the hard maple top.
The frets and nut have been replaced, resulting in excellent playability.
Both PUs are "Patent Appried For”, front is double black, rear is double white.
This model is also compatible with the Bigsby B7 tremolo unit, and includes the original slim-profile 1950s-era unit along with mother-of-pearl hole plugs for the stud anchors.
Currently set up with a stop tailpiece, you can also enjoy the unique, exquisite overtones and cool looks when equipped with a Bigsby.
