1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard – Sunburst
Description
When a “Burst” is mentioned, many players immediately think of Jimmy Page’s #1, while others may picture Billy Gibbons’ “Pearly Gates.” However, if you were born in the 80s, the first thing that comes to mind is likely Slash’s iconic “Appetite For Destruction” Burst. Interestingly, the “AFD” Burst isn’t a real Gibson, but this 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard definitely is! Resembling the famous replica Slash used during the Appetite for Destruction era, this ‘59 boasts a stunning monster flame maple top, a fully lemoned-out finish, a beautiful deep dish top carve, and the perfect ‘59 neck profile. All of that, combined with its Double White bridge and Zebra neck PAF pickups, leaves this one ticking all the boxes for the vast majority of vintage guitar enthusiasts. This guitar clearly shows signs of being well-played, with the kind of wear and mojo you would expect from a guitar that’s been loved and used throughout its lifetime. So, if you’re on the hunt for a killer ‘59 with the vibe and character everyone is after, look no further; it’s staring you down as you read this!
