1963 Gibson Les Paul/SG Standard Model Solid Body Electric Guitar

Description

VINTAGE - This vintage Gibson Les Paul/SG Standard Model was built in late 1963 at the Gibson factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This guitar features a mahogany body and neck, original cherry lacquer finish, rosewood fingerboard, and original black Gibson hard shell case.

This "Standard" style replaced the original single-cutaway Les Paul just at the end of 1960, a statement of guitar modernism from the often derided as overly conservative Kalamazoo company. While the original single-cutaway Les Paul’s roared back to favor later in the 1960s, this slim and supple SG has also now been played for generations.

This Les Paul SG is in excellent condition, with all original factory parts, and is a rare later 1963 model with the transitional Gibson Maestro Lyre Vibrola. This guitar plays, feels, sounds and looks AMAZING!
