1961 Gibson Lefty Les Paul Junior 1961 Sunburst
Description
1961 Gibson Les Paul Junior, re-named SG a few years later. Serial Number 18027.
I have never seen an earlier Lefty Gibson SG shaped guitar then this one and only have seen one other sunburst (1962) Les Paul junior in the SG shape from this time period.
Ultra light weight. Massive tone out of the original single P90 pick up.
Must’ve had a re-fret as well. Frets look great with a lot of life still on them.
Lots of Weather-checking as well as dings and Road Scars. No breaks whatsoever. The Pick-guard shrunk over the years and the corner on the Treble side horn is broken.
Tuners were changed at some point in its life. The wraparound tailpiece is long gone and a ABR Bridge was installed to keep the intonation spot on. Therefore a new tailpiece was added. Comes with the original case.
Was once owned by the Australian Act: Little River Band.
