This is not a reissue; this a 100% all original, very good condition and lightweight example of a highly collectable 1958 Gibson Les Paul Jr. (SN# 8 6480), in an incredibly beautiful and vibrant Cherry Red.
It shows light playing wear; the frets and the fretboard show minimal wear, but retain a very good condition, with plenty of fret life left.
The guitar has a grain pattern running down the neck; don't confuse that with a crack. This guitar has had no cracks, repairs, touch ups, oversprays, or refins.
This is a very resonant guitar unplugged, with a beautiful and aggressive sound when plugged in.
The neck is the typical '58 round, chunky neck, with a very comfortable feel.
At a light 7.4 lbs, it is very easy to play.
The guitar shows light weather checking, as you can see in the pictures, and has a few bumps and scratches, but it is still overall a beautiful and collectable guitar.
The original alligator chipboard case is in excellent, original condition.
I particularly like '58 Gibson guitars, and I consider this one to be high on the scale of playablity and collectability.
