1994 Gibson Les Paul Classic (1959 reissue) Cherry

Now available on consignment, a 1994 Gibson Les Paul '59 Reissue in cherry.
This is an early example of a Custom Shop '59 reissue Gibson Les Paul Standard with a rare mahogany top, also known as a Les Paul Classic as many of these early reissues still had the 'Classic' silkscreen. The guitar is in great condition without any breaks or repairs. There is some light buckle rash and play wear mainly on the back of the body to note, otherwise the guitar shows little play wear for a 32 year old guitar.
The original pickups have been swapped out at some point for a newer set of Seymour Duncan Antiquities which sound great, the originals are included in the case. The only other changed parts are the strap buttons. Otherwise all other parts remain original including all of the plastics, hardware, and wiring harness.
Sonically, this guitar is typical of a good Gibson of the period, being resonant, clear and precise, with a sweet tone all the way up the board. A fairly medium weight, strung with 10-46 strings, and plays clearly & cleanly with a medium-low action.
