Summary

Finish: The guitar has many finish touchups throughout the body and neck. The upper part of the sunburst has been re-sprayed, and there is touchup around the neck heel. The top has other touchups on repaired cracks and play worn areas. The back of the neck has been touched up, and there is a touchup on the upper corner of the headstock where the point was rebuilt.

Hardware: The bridge, saddle, and nut have been replaced. A strap button was added to the neck heel.

Cosmetic Condition: This vintage Gibson J-45 shows heavy cosmetic wear, with many touched up areas on the body and neck. There is checking, play wear, and repaired cracks on the body, as well as heavy buckle rash on the back. The back of the neck is glossy and smooth, and has been touched up as well.

Modifications/Repairs: The neck has been reset and refretted, and the finger divots in the fretboard have been filled. The upper part of the sunburst has been resprayed, and there is touchup around the neck as part of the reset. There are repaired cracks in the top which have been touched up, and some braces have been reglued as well. The bridge, saddle, and nut are replaced, and a strap button was added at the heel. There is a wing repair on the bass side of the headstock, and the upper point was previously rebuilt with wood putty before being sprayed.

Tech Notes: The guitar plays well with low action, and the wide frets are tall with light play wear. The factory order number dates the guitar to 1959.
