2010 Gibson Historic Makeover '55 '59 Conversion Sunburst
Description
Sunburst, converted to ’59 specs by Historic Makeovers. This has had the full RDS treatment with a reshaped neck and top carve, replaced fretboard with a Brazilian board with vintage correct inlays and frets. The neck is reset with hide glue plus the whole thing is refinished with nitro lacquer with no plasticizers and using real aniline dyes. Finally the serial number is re-stamped with the number in the correct 50’s font. This one has a new serial number from the factory original. It also was sent back to HM for a second refin in a different color. Sorry we have no idea what it was before. This now has Throbak KZ-115 MXV pickups that sound awesome through an amp.This is nice and light at 8.8 pounds and the neck is super comfortable C shape. The aniline dye produces a nice color red that is hard to replicate. Comes with the original COA and papers from Gibson along with the COA from Historic Makeovers. A great guitar with great sounding pickups for ultimate articulation and sustain. You’ll love it.
