This 2015 Gibson Firebird VII Reissue in rare Blue Mist finish is a stunning modern recreation of one of Gibson’s most ambitious 1960s designs. The Firebird VII was the top-tier model in the Firebird lineup—featuring neck-through-body construction, three humbucker pickups, and a Maestro Vibrola tailpiece. The result is a guitar with remarkable sustain, crystalline note clarity, and an unmistakable vintage vibe wrapped in a sleek, metallic finish.
I absolutely love these guitars! There's nothing in the guitar market that jumps out like a custom color Firebird!
This one is very near mint, part of a recent collection purchase of unplayed guitars. It set up nicely and has room in the truss rod for future neck relief adjustments. The only sign of use is two discoloration marks from hanging on a stand.
The seven-ply neck-through mahogany and walnut construction ensures incredible resonance and stability, while the bound rosewood fingerboard and block inlays give it a luxurious feel. The trio of mini-humbuckers delivers shimmering highs, focused mids, and punchy low-end, capable of everything from bluesy cleans to biting rock tones. This example is in mint condition with no notable wear and includes its original hard shell case and paperwork.
