1964 Gibson Firebird III – Frost Blue
Description
Ah, yes, the age-old question: “How many custom color Firebirds does one place need?!”
Well, the only acceptable answer is: “One more…”
Once again, we’re ecstatic to offer a beautifully aged 1964 Gibson Firebird III, finished in its original factory Frost Blue custom color. Unlike many custom color Firebirds that lived quiet lives in cases, this one has clearly seen a few stages and worn its journey with pride. It bears the bumps, bruises, and scars that come from years of honest play, yet never abused, just well-loved, like your favorite childhood baseball glove. Its perfectly shaped medium C neck profile, leaning slightly toward a D, fills the hand comfortably without feeling bulky. Paired with its incredibly balanced yet sonically potent mini humbuckers, this Firebird delivers a sound as distinctive as it looks. Whether you’re a collector or a player, this “Frosty” beauty is ready to take flight, and you don’t have to be Smokey or the Bandit to know this Firebird is a keeper.
Overall Condition: 7.5, fair amount of wear and tear with some weather checking, but very nice overall patina
