1966 Gibson Firebird V – Golden Mist Poly
Description
We’re proud to show this beautiful 1966 Gibson Firebird V in Golden Mist Poly! With the release of the Firebird in 1963, Gibson offered 10 different custom color options to choose from. Of these, Golden Mist Poly is the only color that exactly matches one of Fender’s fourteen custom colors: Shoreline Gold Metallic. This example is in great overall shape, with some edge wear and checking throughout the finish. This original hardware is a mixed set of original nickel and chrome; with the nickel hardware showing an even patina. One curious element on this piece is the truss rod cover, showing only two screws instead of the normal 3.
Overall Condition: 8.5, Great Condition, weather checking and light wear throughout, worming in the tummy cut area, patina to the nickel components
