1963 Gibson ES-355TDSV "with Bigsby B7G"
Description
A 1963 ES-355TD.
Featuring a cherry red finish, stereo outputs,
and a Varitone control.
Features original early numbered PAF pickups,
with replaced frets and nut, and is in good playing condition.
The Varitone circuit has been removed, changing the stereo output to mono and altering the wiring to match that of the ES-335. The original unit is also included with the case.
Additionally, the tuner had been replaced with a different one, but it has now been returned to the original Kluson “VX501”.
There is evidence that the tremolo unit originally featured the “Long Vibrola Tremolo” introduced in 1963, but it currently houses the “Bigsby B7G” unit, which is based on the early 1960s specification.
While vintage wear and weathering are visible, overall it maintains excellent condition.
