1961 Gibson ES-345TDSV "Water Melon Cherry with Long Guard & P.A.F.Pickups"
Description
This is a 1961 model featuring the combination of the stop tailpiece and the Cherry Red finish that officially debuted in 1960.
The body's factory order number indicates a 1960 production year, while the serial number represents an early 1961 model, the final phase of the “A” serial numbering system that had been in use since 1947.
This guitar features a color known among collectors as “Watermelon Cherry,” finished in a slightly lighter Cherry Red Alinylin dye that was used until the final period of this “A” serial run.
Tuner had been replaced with another parts at one point, but it has now been returned to the original Kluson Deluxe.
Some screws are resplaced.
Equipped with P.A.F. pickups.
There is some minor wear, but considering its vintage and age, it remains in excellent overall condition.
