1969 Gibson ES-345TDSV "Original Burgundy Metallic Finish"
Description
This is a rare custom color 1969 model ES-345 with a sparkling burgundy finish.
This color is rarely seen on ES-335s from the same era, but it's quite a rare color for an ES-345.
While showing wear and weathering typical for its age, it remains in excellent overall condition as vintage gear.
The stereo outputs have been changed to mono outputs, the Varitone circuit is now bypassed, and the phase-out effect when using the center position has been changed to a standard mixed sound—all to match the user-friendly wiring of the ES-335.
The original trapeze tailpiece was once modified to a stop tailpiece, but currently the tailpiece has been changed with a Bigsby B7G, and the stop tailpiece anchor section is covered with a “Custom Made” plate.
