1960 Gibson ES-345 Red
Description
Unleash your inner Freddie King with this well cared for red 1960 ES-345. I have cut the price to the bone and will also consider selling just the husk (body, neck and case). It has been converted to mono but the Varitone is intact and working great (not all of them do). The red is still vibrant although it looks like the early red that fades to watermelon-it simply hasn't faded yet. This guitar is all about the tone. It has a really excellent set of PAFs (black) that are articulate and sweet sounding. All parts are original except for the switch tip, pickguard and the mono harness. There is moderate wear to the metal parts but the finish is in excellent condition. No major checking and no major dings or scratches. The pickups have had the covers off and are back on-the stickers black light correctly as does the entire finish. This guitar could use new frets. They are quite low and flat. The neck profile is slim but not the later blade neck that is prone to problems. The neck is straight and the truss rod works as it should. The original brown case is in fair condition. If you're interested in just the husk, email me or call.
