1964 Gibson ES-175 Cherrryburst
Description
I sell a ton of Gibson ES guitars but very few 175's. It's gotten harder to find 175's that haven't been scavenged for parts-especially pickups. This one isn't quite 100% but it's priced to head out the door fairly quickly. It's got that great 64 neck-slim at the lowers and really big at the 12th. Pickups are nickel covered (unopened) patent numbers which, as most of you know, are identical to late PAFs. So, for about the same price as a pair of late PAFs, you get the whole guitar and a good year to boot. The original rosewood bridge is in the case. There is a Faber ABR-1 on the guitar so you can actually intonate it with a plain G. One of the shielding cans (those big covers for the pots) has come loose (well half of it anyway) and is also in the case. The tuners are repro and the originas are in the case(late 64's got double lines). It is a really good player and the condition approaches 9/10. Cherryburst is unusual for 64 - this is probably a December build so it's likely one of the first since Gibson brought it back. Case looks like its from the 80's.
